These terms and conditions (collectively “terms”) apply to your use and access to www.europeanvintagejewelry.com including all orders submitted by you for any products or services made available by European Vintage Jewelry through www.europeanvintagejewelry.com.
European Vintage Jewelry is referred to in these terms and conditions as “European Vintage Jewelry”, “EVJ”, “we”, “us”, and “www.europeanvintagejewelry.com” may be referred to as “the Website”.
By accessing the Website you acknowledge that you have read, have understood, and agree to the general terms of use of the Website. Please read these terms carefully before you submit an order to us.
PRODUCTS
The products are unique and authentic. All jewelry is certified.
The images of the products on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours accurately, we can’t guarantee that a device’s display of the colours accurately reflects the colour of the products. Your product may vary slightly from those images. None of the images on this site have been altered.
PRICES
We will ensure that the price of goods and services we are offering are clear and easily found. That means that the price is clearly seen and no hidden extras such as taxes.
The prices of products on the site www.europeanvintagejewelry.com are expressed in EURO and exclude shipping costs. These prices are firm and non-revisable, but the seller reserves the right to modify them at any time.
The price you pay is displayed on the website at the time we receive your order, however, while we try to ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to offer you the item at the correct price, or cancel the order and send you a full refund.
ORDER
Products are sold while stocks last. On the EVJ website, we offer second-hand jewelry. The products are unique and authentic.
The customer selects one or more products, and adds them to his shopping cart. He will be able to access his shopping cart by clicking on the button provided for this purpose and will be able to check the number and nature of the products he has chosen. He will be able to check their unit price as well as the total price of the order. He will be able to remove one or more products from his shopping cart.
Thereafter, he will have access to a form in which he will have to fill in his contact details and personal information or will connect to his "account". After he has validated his order, he will have to make his payment.
An order confirmation email will be sent to him.
Each piece of jewelry sent is presented in a box. All our jewelry is certified. You will therefore receive a certificate of authenticity for the jewel(s) ordered in your order.
PAYMENT
You can pay for your order by Credit Card, Debit Card, and Bank Transfer. We accept payment in Euro.
But we DON’T accept personal checks, cashiers checks or bank checks or money orders.
You must pay for the products before we dispatch them.
You confirm that the credit/debit card or payment method that is being used is yours. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorize payment we will not accept your order and we will not be responsible for any delay or non-delivery and we are not obliged to inform you of the reason for the refusal.
We are not responsible for your card issuer or bank charging you as a result of our processing of your credit/debit card payment in accordance with your order.
Please note that you may incur additional customs and duty charges during transit through customs. Check with your local customs office for rates.
We use a secure server for inputting your details and have made every precaution to make your transaction secure. We use a SSL secure connection (Secure Sockets Layers).
CUSTOMER SERVICE
The customer service department of this site is accessible from Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm, by by email at the following address: info@europeanvintagejewelry.com
In the latter case, the seller undertakes to provide a response within 48h.
DELIVERY
The products are delivered to the address indicated by the customer on the order form.
Goods will be shipped within 48 hours - 72 hours upon clearance of payment. We ship two (2) days a week.
The order will be delivered according to the deadline announced in the order confirmation sent by email. The announced deadline will take into account the mode of transport chosen at the time of purchase.
We are not responsible for delays outside our control (including customs clearance processes).
We offer free deliveries on all orders under 500€.
REFUNDS
As this purchase has been made through the distance selling methods you are entitled by law to cancel this order within fourteen (14) working days. We must receive the item back within fourteen (14) days for you to qualify for a refund.
If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase we will give you a full refund (exclusive of shipping charges) and you can return goods fourteen (14) days after you have received the item.
Items must be returned fully insured for the price paid, in the same condition as dispatched, in the original packaging, without any alterations, tampering, unauthorised testing or damage. Please also include your sales receipt.
Returns will be processed within three (3) days of receipt and inspection of item(s). We will confirm receipt of the returned item(s) and completion of the refund by email.
Return postage will be paid by EVJ.
In the unlikely event of an item going missing in the post, we will not be able to refund the item until forty (40) days after the date that it was first posted.
RE-SIZING
No jewelry on our site, including rings, can be resized. Each piece is unique.
Be careful, therefore, to check the size of the ring as well as the size you usually wear. Sizing Guide
FAULTY GOODS
Under the Consumer Rights Directive EU 2011, a customer has an early right to reject goods that are unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, and get a full refund. This right is limited to thirty (30) days from the date the customer took ownership of the goods. If an item is faulty and needs to be returned, the customer does not need to pay postage costs for the return of the faulty item. If a customer is asked to return an item that arrived damaged, not as described or faulty, the retailer should refund the total cost of the return.
FOR DISTANCE (ONLINE & MAIL ORDER) SELLING
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014, L.221-18, a customer is subject to the right of retraction and allowed to return an item if they simply change their mind. A customer has the right to cancel at any time from the moment they place their online order, and up to fourteen (14) days from the day they receive the goods. The customer then has a further fourteen (14) days from the date they notify the retailer of their cancellation to return the goods.
A customer is subject to the right of withdrawal.
MISREPRESENTATION
Unless otherwise stated, any sizing and colour assessments attributed to diamonds and coloured gemstones are necessarily determined without disturbing the integrity of the piece; therefore, assessments represent close approximations, due to limitations imposed by the mount.
We will not consider the opinion of any other 3rd party.
Should you feel that your item has been misrepresented then please return the item within fourteen (14) days and we will pay for an independent assessment to be carried out by a qualified and experienced gemologist / antique jewelry expert.
Any unauthorised testing will result in no refunds being made under any circumstances.
If the item has been proven to be misrepresented you will receive a full refund and your shipping costs refunded.
DISPUTE
The general conditions of sale presented above are governed by Luxembourg law. In case of dispute, the parties will seek an amicable agreement. In its impossibility, the exclusive jurisdiction is attributed to the court territorially competent under the Code of Civil Procedure.
